I read, re-read, and re-read all of the user information that I could find about this camera before buying it. All of the feedback about the difficulty in remembering to put the cap on during film wind-on, etc., and the comments that you'd be better off buying a used older model nearly convinced me to pass on the one I bought.
I am VERY glad I bought it. Yes, it's fiddly. But then, what Leica is not? Even the M8 (another one that suffers from over-focus of reviews on niggly parts) suffers from this.
I find this a wonderful little camera to shoot. Would I use it at an important shoot of some type? No. But, I very much enjoy walking around, looking for creative images to make. This is an excellent camera for that. The lens quality is shockingly good, in my opinion. You can argue whether or not it gives a "vintage" look, since the lens uses the latest coating techologies. But, I certainly enjoy what it produces.
A lot of fun, if you're not expecting it to replace your DLSR!
With this camera, it's back to basics, and I like that.
